Yes — in the app you can change a pass that is already in your guest's hands, and the link they have keeps working under the new terms. You do not need to cancel it and send another.
Edit the pass in the app
- Open the Visitors tab and find the visitor.
- Tap the ⋯ menu on their row and choose Edit pass.
- Change what you need: End date (or Never expires), Entries allowed (1 to 1,000, or Unlimited entries), and the Weekly schedule.
- Tap Save changes.
The sheet says it plainly: their pass link stays the same and follows the new limits. Removing every time window from the schedule makes the pass valid at any time, within its other limits.
What happens at the gate
The gate decides at the moment of the scan, not when the pass was made, so an edit takes effect immediately in both directions. Shorten the end date or narrow the schedule and the pass stops working right now; extend it and a link the guest still has in their messages starts working again. If your guest added the pass to Apple Wallet, their card is told to refresh so it shows the new terms.
Fix the guest's details instead
To correct a name, phone number, or plate, use Edit details from the same menu. That, too, keeps the link the same and shows the updated details. A corrected name is pushed to any Wallet card for that pass.
Party passes
Party passes cannot be changed with Edit pass — the option is hidden for them, because their limits belong to the event and its guest list. Manage the event instead.
On the web
The pass list on the web at app.maximum.community offers Share, SMS, Present, and Deactivate, but no edit. If you need to change a pass from the web, deactivate it and issue a new one.
Good to know
- Editing never changes who the pass is for. Pointing a pass at a different person means a new pass.
- Reactivating a deactivated pass is not an edit; send a fresh pass instead.
- Widening a pass re-arms any link the guest still holds, so only extend a pass for someone you still want to admit.
