I'm signed in to the wrong community, or can't find my home

Last updated

If the app is showing a different community than you expected, or you can't find your home at all, it's almost always one of a few things. One account can belong to more than one community, so the app always shows one community at a time — the trick is usually just switching to the right one.

1. You're in the wrong community — switch

If you belong to more than one community, look for the community switcher near the top of the menu; it shows the name of the community you're currently in. Tap it, choose the community you meant, and the app reloads that community's home, passes, gates, and bookings. For the full walkthrough, see "I have homes in more than one community — how do I switch between them?"

2. There's no switcher, and everything looks empty

The switcher only appears when your account belongs to more than one community — with a single community there's nothing to switch to, so it stays hidden. If the one community you see isn't the one you expected, your account is simply linked to a different community than you thought. That's fixed by the office, not in the app (see step 4).

3. Remember everything is per community

Your passes, vehicles, bookings, and notification settings all belong to whichever community you're currently in. If a pass you created or a vehicle you added seems to have vanished, you may just be looking at the wrong community — switch first, then check again.

4. Your home isn't there at all

Each community adds you to its own resident list separately; belonging to one community does not automatically add you to another. If a community you expect is missing entirely:

  • You may not have been added to that community yet. Contact that community's office and ask them to add your home to your account — give them the email address you sign in with.
  • You may have a second account under a different email. If the office set you up with an email you don't normally use, sign in with that one — the community is attached to whichever account the office used. See "How do I change my email address?" if you need them merged onto your usual email.
  • If you were removed or moved out, your access to that community stops — see "Why did my access suddenly stop working?"

Still not right?

Your property manager can see which communities your account is linked to and add or correct your home. Tell them the email you sign in with and the community you're trying to reach.
