Payment, your subscription, and who to ask

If you've gone looking for a "Billing" or "Payment method" screen in your admin sidebar and not found one, nothing is wrong. This article explains where billing actually lives and who to ask for what.

There is no self-service billing screen for managers

Because the platform is free for your community, there is nothing for a community or property manager to pay, and so there is no card-on-file, no "manage subscription", and no "update payment method" page in your admin. You won't be locked out for a payment problem, and adding residents or guards will never prompt you for a card. If you were expecting one, see How billing works: what your community pays for why.

Who handles the account behind the scenes

The platform account itself is administered by the Maximum.Community platform team (and, where a security company operates your community's account, by that company). Any payment arrangement that does exist — for one of the optional paid add-ons — is set up as a written agreement with them, not entered by you in the app. In practice that means your single answer for anything billing-related is: ask your point of contact, the team that onboarded your community.

What you might have a billing question about

  • SMS charges. If your community has switched on text messaging, you pay only for what you send. To turn SMS on or off, review usage, or ask about the rate, contact your point of contact — SMS billing isn't self-managed from the admin. See What's included, and the three things that cost money.
  • An access-control or white-labeling quote. Both are quoted per site. Your point of contact arranges the survey and the written quote.
  • A guarding, patrol or camera service. These are separate security services with their own agreements — again, raised and handled with your point of contact, not in the platform.

Changing your plan or "canceling"

There's no subscription to cancel to stop platform charges, because there aren't any. If your community is winding the account down or changing how it's served, that's a conversation with your point of contact, who can adjust the account and, if you're leaving, export your data and close the site. See How billing works: what your community pays for what leaving involves.

Updating your own login and contact details

One thing you can manage yourself is your account profile — your name, email and password for signing in to the admin. That's separate from billing and lives in your account settings. To reset a password, see How do I change or reset my password?
